This has been the queen of the Croatian islands of Dalmatia since ancient times, due to its strategic and nautical position, rich historical periods and natural monuments. It is accessible from Split and in turn provides access to the other islands in the region.

The simply spectacular sunset must be seen from the Spanish Fortress, built in the 16th century to protect against the invasion of the Turks and named after the building engineers.

Riva is the public promenade in the city center with several restaurants and a beautiful night view of the fortress, with the 16th century Loggia (City Lodge) in the foreground, with its Venetian architecture and a beautiful 19th century clock tower.
